Oscar’s 2021: The End of Hollywood

The Academy Awards this year elicited feelings of deja vu. This is what is must have been like to attend a Christmas ball hosted by King Louis and Marie Antoinette in 1788. Like our Hollywood elites today, the French aristocracy were blissfully unaware of the the impending doomed they faced. How could they have known that in only a couple of years they would go from diamonds and the finest foods attainable in late 18th century Paris to the guillotine?
